First post and Welcome

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I hope that you will decide to stay and get to know me a bit better and let me get to know you as well. I have wanted to start a blog for quite some time now; but, wanted to find the perfect time to begin to make it something exciting for both myself and those who decide to stop by for a visit.

I will not bore you with the intricate details about myself, if you want the basics, you can take a peek at my bio. I would like to mention some of the elements I plan to incooporate in this blog. This is a spot to talk about our children and family life, ways to give our lives more joy; and yes, that is always welcome. A constant joy in my life is my granddaughter, she is such a treasure at 3 years of age and has inspired me in so many ways. She visits me often and is dearly missed when she is away. She resides about 2 hours away. Not too far, but not close enough to see as regularly as I would like.

I plan on touching on many topics during our times together, travel...I love Disney..Books...love to read...and crafting..I love to make things as well, currently my artistic interests are geared towards creating custom designs for children. I have sewn for over 20 years, but kick my designs up a notch from the mundane by embellishing in some way every item I create, but more about that later.
